Bit-Map Typeface Design

Beginning Graphic Design II, Fall 2014
Instructor: Alexander Polakov
Adobe InDesign

My concept for this type design project was to create a bit map typeface that was not so stiff and rigid. The cubes make the designs of many bit-map typefaces look stiff because of the square’s sharp corners and angles. I wanted to challenge the geometric structure by creating illusions of curves and organic lines in my bit-map typeface design. More than a technological and digital looking typeface, I wanted to try to create a typeface that looked elegant and natural.
